Improving the Spectral Efficiency in the MIMO_OFDM System for Optical Wireless Communications

In the rapidly evolving world of communications, Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology emerges as a promising solution to the challenges faced by traditional wireless networks. VLC faces unique challenges, most notably how to improve the spectral efficiency of the system. The MIMO-OFDM system is considered one of the leading solutions to increase spectral efficiency in visible light communication. This system combines the advantages of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) to achieve more efficient and reliable data transmission. Current methods such as Hermite Symmetry (HS), Direct Optical Compensation (DCO), and Alternative Optical Compensation (ACO) will be analyzed, and potential alternatives to improve spectral performance will be explored. The results indicate that combining MIMO and OFDM can lead to significant improvements in spectral efficiency and data transmission rates.
