Proposal for Knowledge Mapping Which Visualizes Information Relationships
摘要
While we now have access to a richer array of information resources in response to the information explosion, the burden on information users is also increasing. While search engines provide convenient information retrieval, it is impossible to check all of the information provided. In other words, there is a time-consuming process of extracting information from a vast amount of information to match one’s needs and knowledge level. Judging the accuracy and difficulty of information requires a certain amount of basic knowledge. Moreover, it is difficult to position fragmentary information obtained through keyword searches of the whole academic system. To solve the problem of extracting the relevance of knowledge from a vast amount of data, this study proposed a knowledge mapping. Unlike past conceptual maps, the knowledge mapping proposed in this study utilizes human spatial perception to represent the presented information on a map. We believe that this will help users in their search for information in the vast information world.
