eXtended Intelligence (XI) on Web5: A Design of Distributed Reading5
摘要
This paper describes the design of Distributed Reading5, an XI tool that builds on the Web5 distributed internet. Today’s e-books are digitiszed versions of physical books with their functionality intact. Specifically, paper books are converted into digital data, improving portability and storage capacity. From another point of view, they are not used for anything other than improving portability and storage, despite there being a variety of sophisticated devices for e-books. With today’s sophisticated digital devices, e-books can find diverse possibilities as a new medium, beyond being books with increased mobility and storage capacity. The Distributed Reading5 designed and prototyped in this paper can offer people new potential for e-books through “distributed reading.” It also creates a new e-book experience by integrating the possibilities of the Web5 internet, such as user management of personal information and unification of accounts and passwords across multiple platforms.
