This study introduces an innovative method for accurately guiding robots to predefined acquisition positions, specifically tailored for scanning archaeological artifacts. Leveraging advanced DL-models and model-based controllers, our approach ensures precise and efficient robot movements. By integrating cutting-edge robotics, this method contributes to the optimization of artifact scanning processes. The result is an enhanced capability for detailed archaeological research and artifact preservation. This method showcases a promising avenue for the digitisation and documentation of historical artifacts, offering high levels of precision in acquiring valuable archaeological data.
