Reindustrialization Strategies of the Location Types A/B and C
摘要
The second production facility of C. B. Schwarz from “…der Reise an der Saale …1786” […journey along the Saale …1786] is shown in detail in the foreground of the illustration “Das Schloß zu Merseburg” [The castle of Merseburg] (e.g. saline Dürrenberg—delivery 1/sheet 1), the Meuschau mill, a water mill (water art). As is the case with the saline Dürrenberg, the meaning of the energy processes for the production is provided, whether in mining or in the processing of agricultural products. Before the triumph of steam engine, wind and water arts were the essential energy machines, when the use of human and animal muscle power is abstained from (horse mill, hoists). The Merseburg illustration also consciously or unconsciously shows the connection between production and political dominance (castle of Merseburg, Saxon duke era—secundogenitures Merseburg—Weißenfels—Zeitz).
