Currently, the concept of the rule of law faces multiple challenges. Among these are globalization, pandemics and digitization. All of these represent potential risks for the impairment of fundamental rights, as regulated by international legal instruments and state constitutions. In this context, it is the constitutional courts that shape existing concepts to adapt to new social realities.
