摘要

While many learning experience design (LXD) studies are done from a qualitative perspective (e.g., think aloud), surveys are a helpful tool in that they allow for scalability across multiple learner groups and afford quantitative modeling techniques. Given the lack of LXD instruments to evaluate learning technologies, this article sought to establish validity of a survey instrument based on an established LXD framework. Specifically, this article establishes validity of the LXD instrument through a sensitivity and content validity review. The article presents 16 items that measure interaction with (a) the learning environment and (b) the learning space. In doing so, the instrument outlines a valid tool for LXD researchers and practitioners who wish to quantitatively assess usability in learning environments.
