From Traditional to Technology-Enabled: Exploring the Integration of Active Learning in Technology-Enabled Classrooms to Provide an Improved Learning Experience for Students
摘要
This paper presents an exploratory study to understand the relationship between Learning Experience Design, technology-enabled classrooms, and active learning strategies. Case study was the methodology used for this study. Instructors’ interviews and student focus groups were used to investigate the implementation of active learning in two technology-enabled classrooms. Findings reveal that instructors utilized various feedback strategies to promote active learning and integrated technology to foster collaboration among students. However, challenges such as large class sizes and internet connectivity were encountered. Students appreciated technology integration for collaboration and problem-solving but suggested better training on using technologies and improved communication about classroom space. The study highlights the importance of technology integration and instructor training for creating engaging learning experiences in technology-enabled classrooms.
