摘要

This research aims to analyse the relationship between mathematics and language skills through an Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). Depending on the purpose of the research, the answers to the questions about the place of language skills in mathematics achievement in teachers and students and the relationship between mother tongue and mathematics achievement were sought. The study was conducted by quantitative research method with 300 students and 40 teachers. After the survey was conducted with 40 teachers, the results obtained were analysed with SPSS, and the results were made by calculating the mean and standard deviation. In the ANFIS analysis, 2 models were created from the results obtained after the survey conducted with 300 students. As a result of the research, teachers realized the importance of various communication skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing in mathematics education and emphasized the importance of effective communication for problem-solving, mathematical modelling, and group work. In the ANFIS models, it was shown that students recognized the significance of utilizing their language skills, which had no impact on their mathematics or Turkish scores. The survey data provided by the students revealed that neither Turkish nor Mathematics scores could be predicted or correlated, yet the models were detected to be consistent with the data.
