Solution of Manager Selection Problem by Using Fuzzy-TOPSIS Methodology
摘要
Selecting a manager who can make effective decisions during critical moments is a crucial aspect of organizational decision-making, aimed at improving leadership skills and overall performance. Scholars have attempted to enhance manager selection through various decision-making techniques, particularly Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). One of them, the Technique for Preference Ranking with Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methodology, has gained a reputation as a robust and systematic approach to solving complex decision problems. However, these methods have not adequately considered how a decision-maker’s psychological traits influence their decision-making abilities. This study delves into managers’ Personality Traits using MBTI ( Myers–Briggs Type Indicator) analysis, establishes criteria to assess their decision-making skills, and employs Fuzzy computations. Through this approach, the paper reveals the personality type that proves more effective in the decision-making process.
