Decision-Making on Delimitation of Groundwater Potential Zone Under Z-Environment

Groundwater is a major resource that contributes to the water supply. The objective of this study is to assess and identify the groundwater recharge zone using geospatial and new technology. Nowadays several studies have been applied to new models and quantitative approaches for assessing groundwater potential zones. Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) techniques are the most popular and widely used approach to delineate groundwater prospecting zones. This is approved in scientific literature. However, in some studies, causal factors such as precipitation, curvature, topographic moisture index, and elevation have not been taken into account. Rainfall is one of the main sources and is an important factor in groundwater recharge. The data used in the study of groundwater are characterized by inaccuracy and often they are incompletely evaluated. Since the description of primary information directly affects the decision, there is a need to use a new approach in this area. So, this article deals with the issue of studying underground water. In this study, the Z-valued multi-criteria decision-making problem is considered. The results of this study are important in terms of ensuring proper management and sustainable use of underground water resources.
