Decision-Making on the Information Technology Investment Problem Under Z-Environment

Due to the ever-increasing importance of information technology and the ongoing need to constantly enhance and optimize current assets, proper resource allocation is crucial in this sector. Before investing, it’s important to do thorough research to ensure that it meets all relevant requirements. To make a smart investment that fits key decision-making criteria, you need to be able to clearly describe and evaluate facts. This article describes the problems with current methods and argues that a new device is needed to make data processing easier. Questions like the best ways to allocate IT funds, the criteria for choosing certain technologies, and the thought processes behind these choices have all been thoroughly investigated. This research explores a method based on Zadeh’s Z number theory for simplifying the complex procedure of making decisions that take into account several factors at once. The used technique guarantees the delivery of reliable data for generating rational IT investment choices. Five requirements for IT investment are discussed, along with three possible answers. An IT investment issue was addressed in the controlled conditions of the Z-lab to prove the viability and generalizability of the suggested method.
