The Future of ADR Within the Developing and Expanding BRICS

摘要

This chapter deals with the role of alternative dispute resolution with the current BRICS entity and the new members expansion. There are currently five countries consisting BRICS namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Six new countries applied to be part of the emerging and developing global economies namely Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates these countries are invited to join in 2024. There is excitement as these developing economies are forces to be reckoned with as a cumulative group, as there are a wealth of resources to be expounded upon and knowledge gained from these partnerships to foster sustainability for our planet and people. The role of alternative dispute resolution becomes quintessential in the navigation of international trade relationships and fostering an enduring relationship for the region of Africa and amongst other reasons to boost growth for the emerging economies that are bountiful with natural resources.
