The topic of individual wellbeing has frequently been debated in the literature, given its varied definitions and measurement methodologies, as well as the diverse settings in which it has been applied. In this chapter, we conducted a systematic literature review: The selection process involved a careful examination of identified articles for alignment with research objectives and subsequent content analysis through data extrapolation. A total of 112 documents were initially identified, and after successive screening processes, only 52 relevant contributions were selected for in-depth analysis, as they were strictly related to the topic under investigation. These contributions were further synthesized, aligning with the consumer behaviour perspective, to stimulate discussions on designing effective management and marketing strategies based on emerging topics and future trends dealing with the effect of new technological integrations on individuals’ wellbeing, by considering the technology investigated in such contributions. The results shed light on the combined effects of the most widespread wellbeing measurement methodologies in relation to the integration of new technologies (IoT, Big Data, VR and AR, AI, and so on) and their impact on individuals, as well as the most relevant research settings and industries worthy of attention and future investigation.

摘要
