Surgical Orthodontics

In order to provide our patients with the highest quality of care, we diagnose and design treatment plans that will enable us to determine whether they should undergo orthodontic treatment alone or orthodontic treatment combined with surgery. The surgical and orthodontic approaches have been shown to be very effective in treating deformities of the dentofacial region that cannot be concealed by orthodontic treatment alone. Combining model analysis, space analysis, cephalometric analysis, photoanalysis, and soft-tissue analysis can provide us with a detailed treatment plan that meets the orthodontic goals for facial and dental aesthetics, function, occlusion, and periodontal health. The orthodontist plays an important role in this multidisciplinary approach throughout the various phases of treatment, including treatment evaluation, presurgical orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, and postsurgical orthodontics.
