This chapter provides an introduction to fuzzy logic and discusses its various applications in engineering and research. Numerous studies are being conducted in the applied branch of mathematics known as fuzzy logic. In Fuzzy Logic, “if…then…” is used. According to fuzzy logic, members are not limited to T or F definitions. Fuzzy logic is particularly used in situations where traditional binary logic is not optimal such as when dealing with uncertain data or on making decisions based on incomplete or conflicting information. It is used in many different areas, including control system, decision making, linguistics, financial analysis, power system, medical diagnosis, gaming, image and signal processing, etc. This also refers to recent advancements or trends in fuzzy logic research and applications that include emerging fields where fuzzy logic is proving particularly promising or ongoing efforts to refine its methodologies.
