CalCOFI has a legacy in the people who collect the samples, analyze the data, and interpret the results. There are many colorful characters in the history of CalCOFI. In this chapter, I gather some of their stories as recollections and photographs. While there are many others who are not included here, the present contributions add depth to the CalCOFI story by exposing a more personal dimension.
