Wet Joint Tensile Test of Concrete Bridge Deck with Cross Arranged U-shaped Main Reinforcement

摘要

In order to improve the construction progress and quality, precast concrete bridge panels are commonly used in composite beams, cable-stayed Bridges and arch Bridges, which are then transported to the site for installation and then joined with wet joints. To solve the complicated problem of wet joint of main reinforcement connection in bridge, a crosswise arranged U-shape main reinforcement is proposed in this work. The tensile experiment was carried out on the wet joint of crosswise arranged U-shape main reinforcement specimens with different overlapping lengths. And the results were compared with the wet joint with traditional main reinforcement lap weld. The final results show that the stress mode of the joint varies with the overlap length. With enough overlap length, the wet joint with crossing arranged U-shape main reinforcement can meet the stress requirements of practical projects.
