Electronic books are complex and require familiarity with modern technology to access and control them for utilization. Publishing electronic books online can be susceptible to various forms of assault, constituting infringement of the author's intellectual rights. These assaults vary depending on the type of protection and the nature of the work. This study revolves around the question of whether the Jordanian legislature has established technological and legal protection measures to counter assaults on electronic works. Does the nature of this legislation allow for flexibility to provide such protection, or does it require specific legal provisions tailored to safeguard the rights of electronic book authors in line with the digital environment and all forms of electronic books? The study concluded with a set of results and recommendations, including amending regulations governing the protection of intellectual property rights (electronic), aligning with the significant technological advancements in information transmission methods. It also suggests strengthening penalties for violators of intellectual property rights, both material and imprisonment penalties, and establishing clear and specific legal provisions for actions that violate the digital privacy of authors’ rights to reassure authors and encourage their creative continuity.
