Consumer Engagement with Translated Content on Social Media
摘要
The prospects for consumer engagement are of great interest to academics and business practitioners. While no research has focused on consumer engagement in the context of translated social media content, several articles have explored this area of research. The author will explore relevant considerations regarding the impact of differences in cultural translations, communication parallelism in digital marketing, the presence of user-generated content, and the impact of visual social media content on consumer engagement with translated social media content. These influential factors that make it difficult or easier for consumers to interact with translated content on social media can help companies better connect with consumers internationally during localization and translation. Meanwhile, the study provides an interactive decision-making model for online social media marketing. This means brand engagement, engaging users with user-generated content (UGC) and persuading electronically. In the Chinese context, business practitioners need to know how American digital marketing practices operate. I will also share useful tactics to increase consumer engagement with translated content through online platforms.
