In the age of rapid technological advancements, a country's progress is defined by how well they adapt to this revolution. But with every stride towards development comes a shadow: a looming threat to societies and individuals alike. This threat materializes as online crimes—an industry born in tandem with the tech boom, executed by individuals wielding expert command over the digital realm. Their targets now extend beyond personal privacy violations; they pose significant risk even to creators’ digital efforts which are increasingly vulnerable to theft. In response, there is a need for stringent laws that ensure creators’ rights are protected and duly acknowledged. This study aims at evaluating Jordanian legislations on copyrights (specifically the Copyright and Related Rights Law) to ascertain if it sufficiently safeguards authors’ electronic works both legally and from a technological standpoint. We might also consider future enactments tailored towards e-books that match the D.N.A of their digital environment along all its horizons and happenings. The study reached a conclusion that encompassed a series of discoveries and suggestions. These recommendations consisted of modifying existing legislation pertaining to the safeguarding of electronic intellectual property rights, in order to align with the substantial advancements in information transmission methods. Additionally, it was proposed to enhance the severity of penalties for individuals who infringe upon intellectual property rights, encompassing both monetary fines and restrictions on personal freedom, while also advocating for appropriate compensation. Furthermore, it was emphasized the importance of establishing precise and explicit legal guidelines to address any violations of authors’ digital privacy rights.
