摘要

Agriculture has long been the backbone of human civilization, providing essential resources such as food, fiber, and fuel. As the global population grows, agriculture is undergoing a profound transformation driven by integrating advanced technologies. In recent years, agri-nanotechnology has emerged as a revolutionary field that could reshape traditional agricultural practices. By leveraging the unique properties of nanomaterials, agri-nanotechnology aims to enhance crop yield, improve pest and disease management, and ensure sustainability within the farming systems. Key innovations include nano-sensors that provide real-time monitoring of soil and plant health, enabling precision farming and reducing the excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides. Additionally, nanotechnology is advancing genetic engineering through nanoparticle-mediated gene transfer, which improves crop resistance to pests and environmental stresses. Future trends in agri-nanotechnology will focus on integrating smart nanodevices with Internet of Things (IoT) systems for comprehensive farm management and the development of biodegradable and eco-friendly nanomaterials to ensure environmental safety. As research progresses, the transformative potential of agri-nanotechnology is revolutionizing the agriculture sector and contributing to global food security becomes increasingly apparent.
