摘要

Developing the agricultural industry is crucial for the economic success of many countries. The negative environmental effects causing food shortage present significant challenges. The growing global population requires efficient agricultural technologies that not only meet food demands but also minimize environmental impacts. One promising solution lies in the development of nanocarrier strategies that can enhance crop yields while reducing the environmental impact of crop protection and nutritional foods. To support the increasing use of nanoparticles, recent research in nanotechnology has increasingly shifted toward green synthesis. Green synthesis offers a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to nanoparticle synthesis utilizing many organisms. This chapter focuses on the characteristics of the optimal nano-delivery systems, various outputs, and their role in controlling plant diseases and growing crop yield and productivity. Specifically, it shows the movement of lipid-derived nanoparticles, such as liposomes, between plant leaves and roots. It also explains how nanoparticles can facilitate gene transfer to plants, resulting in enhanced beneficial effects. These findings support the idea of the use of nanotechnology in delivering ​​micronutrients to crops, ultimately contributing to increased agricultural yields.
