Text Encoding

This chapter is concerned with text encoding. It is the process of encoding texts into numerical vectors as their representations. A collection of texts is indexed into texts, and only some among them are selected features. A feature value indicates a relationship between a word and a text. Therefore, this chapter is intended to describe in detail the process of mapping a list of words which is the output from the process, which was described in Chap. 2 , into a numerical vector.
