Word Encoding

This chapter is concerned with the process of encoding a word into a numerical vector. In the previous parts, we studied the process of encoding a text into a numerical vector, and features of numerical vectors representing texts are given as words. In this chapter, we study the process of encoding a word into a numerical vector, and features are given as texts that are selected from a corpus. Texts and words are viewed into a matrix where each column corresponds to a word, and each row corresponds to a text. This chapter is intended to describe the process of encoding a word into a numerical vector as preprocessing.
