Text Clustering: Approaches

This chapter is concerned with the unsupervised learning algorithms which are approaches to text clustering. Machine learning is divided into supervised learning and unsupervised learning as mentioned in Chap. 6 . We use unsupervised learning algorithms as approaches to text clustering. We mention k-means algorithm, its variants, and Kohonen networks as main approaches to the task. In this chapter, we describe unsupervised learning algorithms and neural networks as the approaches to text clustering.
