These days, research into how climate change affects water resources is very crucial. Over the past few decades, water resources have faced significant problems worldwide. The declining tendency of precipitation and the rising trend of temperatures intensify the situation. Rudrasagar (Ramsar site) wetlands’ water quality is important both economically and ecologically. Wetlands are particularly significant to Tripura because the state is situated in an area that frequently floods. Wetlands absorb excess water and release it gradually over time; thus, they can help lessen the consequences of flooding. This can lessen the risk of harm coming to persons and property. In this regard, the present study analyses the climate change impact on the water quality of Rudrasagar Lake. Weighted Arithmetic Water Quality Index Method (WAQI) and Group method of data handling (GMDH) have been applied to analyse the impact of climate change on water quality. The results show that the water quality is in “very poor quality” condition.
