The present study is conducted in the Dehradun and Haridwar districts on suitable sites for the conservation and cultivation of Asparagus racemosus (L.) and Rauvolfia serpentina (L.) Benth ex Kurz using geospatial techniques. The results showed great potential for cultivating these species in both districts’ wastelands and private lands. Identifying the potential sites will help the local communities combat the adverse impact of climate change through socio-economic development. The study’s results will also help the decision-makers formulate the appropriate plans and policies to promote the cultivation of these species among the farmers and provide market linkages for sustainable trade.
