摘要

This study aims to explore the role of social inclusion on stock market participation through conceptual approach, emphasizing their practical implications for economic growth and wealth accumulation. The research systematically reviewed literature and conducted theoretical and empirical discussion to conceptualize the concept of social inclusion in the context of stock market participation. By doing theoretical and conceptual synthesis, it was noted that Social Inclusion is that social integration process which enhances individual or social group’s visibility, upholds their rights, provides access to social interaction, offers resources for full participation, and fosters their recognition and consideration. When it comes to stock market participation it is defined as the social aspects that enable an individual to interact with the social groups, imitate and learn from the peer group, and avail the social capital in the form of support and information resources for full participation in stock market. This study not only provides a conceptual notion on the relevance of social inclusion on stock market participation but also sheds light on its practical relevance. Therefore, this paper advocates for an inclusive approach toward financial markets through creating an environment where all individuals are connected socially and have improved social capital and mutual influences among peers, hence facilitating more numbers of participants leading to sustainable economic development.
