Unleashing the Power of Green Innovation in the Energy Sector: A Comprehensive PRISMA Review

Green innovation (GI) is critical for reducing environmental impact and improving corporate performance, particularly in the energy industry. Companies use GI techniques to achieve sustainability goals, enhance efficiency, and gain a competitive edge. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) technique and the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) standard, this paper examines the influence of green innovation on business performance and suggests future required research. The analysis of 60 papers from Google Scholar and Scopus revealed considerable disparities in theoretical frameworks, issue areas, settings, and approaches. The findings offer suggestions for further study and practical steps for incorporating green practices. This study increases our understanding of GI in the energy sector by filling crucial knowledge gaps and laying the groundwork for future research.
