IoT-Based Crop Recommendation System Using SVM and Decision Tree Algorithm

A high yield with excellent quality is one of the most important concerns in agriculture. The soil significantly improves productivity and yields. A soil assessment assists in identifying all of the soil’s features, as well as challenges and requirements related to its development. Nutrient imbalances and deficiencies can have an impact on soil production and well-being; therefore, it is critical to conduct soil evaluations to identify them. This enables farmers to take critical steps to address the problem and sufficiently repair the soil, resulting in increased yields and productivity. Sensors are intelligent enough to provide near-real-time results with minimal effort. The primary objective of this device is to be able to measure soil characteristics, including temperature, pH, water content, moisture, and nutrient content. Better crop recommendations are produced by the proposed IoT-based system using SVM and decision tree algorithms than by the current literature.
