The COVID-19 pandemic and technological advancements have reshaped education, stimulated a shift from traditional classroom teaching to online learning methods. This study investigates the effectiveness of Search Engine-Based Learning (SER) compared to traditional Classroom Learning (CL) using a SER-CL pedagogical approach. In this research work, the learning is made with Application-Oriented Case Study Based Research Learning (A-OCSBRL) to enhance the learners’ learning experience. The assessment was conducted to identify the understanding level of the learners and data was collected from 100 participants based on various aspects of learning. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was employed to analyse multiple variables, evaluate learning outcomes, student engagement, and motivation. The results reveal significant differences in aspects of learning between SER and CL. While SER offers access to vast content and flexibility, CL fosters social interaction, critical thinking, and personalized learning experiences. It is concluded that both approaches have merits, and the choice should align with individual learner preferences and needs. Future research should explore the long-term impacts of SER and effective integration strategies within traditional classroom settings.
