摘要

The plant immune system is crucial in the context of sustainable agriculture and soil health, in order to understand the dynamics of plant-microbe interaction. Aspart of their immunity, plants recognize the microbial invasion and respond to invaders through a series of immune responses, including MTI (MAMP Triggered Immunity/PAMP Triggered Immunity), ETI (Effector Triggered Immunity), and SAR (Systemic Acquired Resistance). This chapter highlights the multifaceted relationships between plants and rhizosphere microbes and the response mechanisms deployed by the host immune system. Additionally, we also discuss the advantages of utilizing -omics tools to understand the molecular and genetic aspects that will be helpful for crop management, sustainable agriculture, and ecological conservation.
