摘要
The safe administration of blood products is a vital aspect in the care of patients, specifically those with hematologic diseases. This includes both appropriate testing and preparation of blood products, as well as knowledge of complications that can arise during and after transfusions. In this chapter, we describe blood group systems, blood testing, logistical considerations when planning for blood product transfusions, and the evaluation and management of both early and delayed transfusion reactions.
