摘要

The development of insecticides and pesticides with minimal side effects is a critical area of research aimed at ensuring the safe and effective control of pests. Traditional chemical-based synthetic insecticides, widely available in the market, have been reported to cause severe adverse effects on consumers and the environment. In response, the use of nanomaterials synthesized through various nanotechnology methods for the preparation of nanoinsecticides is gaining significant attention. Nanomaterial synthesis can be categorized into three primary methods: physical, chemical, and biological. Each method presents unique advantages and disadvantages when applied in the field. Before any nanoinsecticide is introduced to the market, it is essential to thoroughly assess its toxicity on nontarget organisms. Establishing comprehensive guidelines for the production, testing, and application of nanoinsecticides is crucial. After considering safety and ethical concerns, the responsible use of nanoinsecticides is encouraged to enhance pest management practices.
