摘要

Ectodermal dysplasias (EDs) are rare hereditary genodermatoses affecting the development and/or function of the teeth, hair, nails, and sweat glands; patterns of inheritance may be different, X-linked being the most frequent. The only reliable incidence estimates reported concern this same group. In general, these conditions affect more frequently Caucasian populations and become more evident and easily diagnosed after late childhood.
