摘要

Along with economic development and scientific and technological progress, maritime activities play an increasingly important role in the global economy. Along with that, maritime activities still cause serious environmental pollution problems such as oil pollution, hazardous and noxious substance pollution, wastewater pollution, ballast water, garbage pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, pollution caused by sinking substances, etc. Therefore, the International Maritime Organization has made efforts to introduce measures to improve safety, security, prevention and control of environmental pollution through measures. Convention, Codes and related guidelines and regulations. And controlling environmental pollution from shipping is a key issue that determines the development of the maritime industry. The chapter focuses on issues such as oil pollution, hazardous and noxious substance pollution, wastewater pollution, ballast water, garbage pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, pollution caused by sinking substances. The content of the book chapter is both theoretical and practical; is the basis for state management officials at seaports, officers, seafarers and related organizations and individuals to understand and apply to prevent environmental pollution in maritime activities as well as be ready to respond when environmental pollution incidents occurred in compliance with statutory compliance conventions. The book chapter is systematically compiled, based on domestic and international legal regulations in the maritime domain, and is composed of 11 sections covering pollution issues in maritime activities: Oil pollution from ship; HNS pollution; Waste water pollution; Ballast water management; Pollution caused by garbage; Dumping Substance pollution at sea; Air pollution and GHG emissions; Antifouling system; Salvage sunken property; Ship breaking; Noise and vibration pollution. This chapter is useful for students, graduate students, scientists, lecturers and experts in the maritime field, especially marine officers. It is one of the important foundations that contribute to perfecting knowledge and skills for practical application.
