Perspective Therapy of Mitochondrial Disorders with Molecular Hydrogen

Mitochondria are the primary producers of energy in the body, which is derived from carbohydrates, fats and deaminated amino acids., they are one of the main sites for the production of reactive oxygen species. Mitochondrial dysfunction participates in the origin and development of various diseases. Based on the beneficial effect of molecular hydrogen on the damaged mitochondrial respiratory system of individual body organs, the application of molecular hydrogen appears as a new treatment strategy for targeted therapy of mitochondrial dysfunction.
