摘要

Obesity is a risk factor for cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, the development of type 2 diabetes, and oncological diseases. Excessive daily calorie intake, sedentary lifestyle, and lack of physical activity are the main factors contributing to the onset and progression of obesity, not only in the adult population but also in children. Obesity adversely affects the health of mitochondria in individual organs, reflecting the overall health of the body. One of the current directions in public health protection is the restoration of damaged mitochondrial dynamics and bioenergetics. In addition to the impact of fasting and various diets on mitochondrial health and population longevity, the reduction of excessive daily calorie intake while ensuring an adequate amount of vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals, as well as increasing physical activity, is important.
