摘要

A noteworthy rise in cardiovascular disease and mortality is allied with the metabolic syndrome, which is defined as the concurrent development of multiple factors that comprise this syndrome such as glucose intolerance, dyslipidaemiaDyslipidaemia, obesity, and hypertension. One of the key elements of metabolic syndrome is hypertension. However, establishing the connection between metabolic syndrome and hypertension is critical due to their interconnectivity and common pathophysiological processes. The two conditions frequently coexist and compound one other’s negative consequences, resulting in a synergistic increase in cardiovascular riskCardiovascular risk. This complex connection between these two illnesses is discussed in detail in this chapter, along withMetabolic syndromeepidemiology epidemiologyHypertensionepidemiology, underlying pathophysiological mechanisms, interconnection of one condition on the development and treatment of the other. This will give a thorough grasp of this complex interaction, and it will provide medical practitioners with the information and resources they require to optimize patient care and improve illness outcomes.
