About the Mindset of a Leader Who Is “Gen Z” and Why This Generation Will Be the Pioneer of Innovative Leadership Roles
摘要
This chapter focuses on the stereotypes that Generation Z is repeatedly confronted with in their everyday lives as well as in their working lives. It shows how these stereotypes come about, but also the social events, trends, etc., that have made Generation Z the generation it is today and the generation it is still developing into. In addition, it becomes clear what requirements Generation Z has for their future professional life and what kind of leadership Generation Z itself desires, but also what kind of leadership they will live in their role as future managers. It also shows that Generation Z already possesses skills many of which are taken for granted—that are currently considered “future skills” and are expected to ensure the success of professionals and managers in the labor market of the future. The results are grounded in comprehensive literature and interviews with Generation Z representatives and managers. They culminate in actionable recommendations and an outlook that highlights two critical factors: the psychological challenges and entrepreneurial performance, both of which will encounter new opportunities and challenges in the context of Generation Z.
