摘要

Posttraumatic restricted mobility of the elbow is a common condition. Primary treatment should be conservative for a period of 3 months. Failed conservative therapy is the main cause of the indication of an operative intervention. Operative therapy consists of the resection of bony blockages and a capsulectomy in the dorsal and ventral compartments. Postoperatively, a ventral splint in full extension for compression of the ventral compartment, as well as continuous passive motion (CPM) and physiotherapy, is recommended.
