Endoscopically Assisted Refixation of the Distal Part of the Biceps Tendon

The total or partial rupture of the distal biceps tendon is a rare injury. A sudden excentric force in a flexed elbow might lead to this pathology. There are different operation techniques to fix the biceps tendon with one or two approaches. Most important is the stable refixation of the tendon to the tuberositas radii. The preparation and exposure of this area can be done with an endoscopic technique. The endoscopically assisted refixation of the distal biceps tendon is described in this article.
