The measurement of bite force stands a crucial parameter in assessing oral health and functional capabilities. This research expands on this significance by delving into the calibration of the Flexiforce A301 sensor, specialized for bite force measurement, and its interfacing with the Raspberry Pi Pico W microcontroller. Through calibration, the study uncovers a clear linear relationship between applied force and resulting resistance changes. This calibration process is optimized by utilizing low drive voltage, which in turn informs the optimal configuration for an amplifier circuit with a 100 kΩ feedback resistor. Notably, with a 20 kg force application, this setup yields a voltage output of 0.66 V, effectively enabling the sensor to accurately measure forces up to 100 kg. The study highlights precise calibration’s importance for accurate measurements and the practical integration of calibrated sensors with microcontrollers to enhance dental and medical applications, enabling real-time monitoring and analysis in bite force measurement.

摘要
