Water is an essential resource for all humans and living beings. All over the globe, people require pure water for drinking and cooking purpose. However, in present scenario it is very difficult to get pure water from natural structures such as river, lake or manmade wells due to the contaminated chemicals from Industry. The drinking water will mostly contaminated due to human errors or sometimes due to natural disasters such as flashfloods, tsunami etc. Considering the facts, supplying a fresh drinking water for the households is a major concern for the water supplying authorities in India. In this paper, an attempt is made to monitor different parameters such as pH value, TDS, Turbidity and temperature of water. Based on the obtained result, different methods are incorporated to clean the water at source itself before supplying it to the consumers. These parameters are measured using various sensors and an Arduino based system is designed for processing the sensed data.
