Conclusion: Infinity of Semiosis
摘要
This book is about the dynamic side of semiosis. As such it differs from the rest of semiotics that remains ontological in its nature. Dynamic semiosis is developmental semiosis. This takes place through the demands rooted in irreversibility of time (Chap. 1 ). Signs are brought to organize human psychological processes as these unfold in irreversible time. This basic feature makes dynamic semiosis infinite—the sign creation, use, and abandonment are the central features in human living. The signs transform between field-like and point-like states—which corresponds to the pleromatic and schematic meaning construction parallel processes—pleromatization and schematization. Affect—rather than rational thinking—is in the origin of our dynamic semiosis.
