Capital Punishment for Drug-Related Offences Around the World
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of the use of the death penalty for drug-related offences around the world. It begins with an overview of capital punishment around the world before looking more specifically at how it is used for drug-related offences. What follows is a section in which the capital punishment policies of several countries will be explored in greater depth. Finally, the chapter closes with an introduction to drug policy in the Philippines, where despite the death penalty being abolished, there have reportedly been thousands of executions of people who both use and sell drugs over the past few decades.
