An Approach to the Institutionalization of the History of Science in Chile

The process of institutionalization of the discipline of the history of science in Chile is defined, described, and analyzed, and the phases of the process are determined. Consequently, the milestones of this process are outlined, highlighting their most relevant characteristics, predecessors, and practitioners in each phase, as well as the principal works of these participants. This process encompassed the involvement of researchers, journals, and institutions associated with the mobility of knowledge.
