Chemical and Physical Processing for Materials and Their Products
摘要
Carbon-based materials obtained from lignins are a subject to be explored in order to create new high-value products for pulp and paper and biofuel industries. New products as battery components, polymeric materials, additive for pellets, and carbon fiber are presented and discussed in this chapter in order to demonstrate the technological opportunities for these lignin-based materials. Furthermore, a case study will provide the potential of carbon fibers, and the evaluation of advantages and disadvantages according green chemistry principles.
