摘要

Planetaria are sites of material culture that act as an intersection between technological instrumentation, media and astronomy. The various instruments, from the pre-history of the planetarium, before the optical-mechanical projector was invented, tell us how generations learned about science. Many of these instruments are handmade, some demonstrate just how far and fast technology has changed in one hundred years. Some may be very familiar to those planetarians (those work in planetaria) who have taken an interest in the history of their sector, and some have never been documented before.
